Lawn & Garden Awards

SLHNA Lawn and Garden_HomeThe Lawn & Garden Awards Committee celebrates the beauty and pride of homeownership in St. Louis Hills by recognizing residents for their exceptional landscaping, gardening, and curb appeal. Each year, we conduct a neighborhood-wide review and select winners to showcase the creativity, effort, and care our neighbors invest in their outdoor spaces.

These awards celebrate the outstanding lawns and landscaping that contribute to the beauty and charm of our neighborhood. As a member of the St. Louis Hills Neighborhood Association, your participation not only fosters a sense of pride in our community but also plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing property values for everyone.

In addition to individual awards, we will recognize the best-kept block and best corner at Francis Park. These awards evaluate the collective efforts of entire blocks, encouraging neighbors to work together in maintaining the beauty of our neighborhood.

Winners will be honored with a personalized plaque for their home and a temporary yard sign acknowledging their exceptional landscaping efforts.

In 2025, over 60 homes were nominated, and 12 were selected for awards. We were thrilled to see strong participation from both new residents and longtime members of our community, with nominations submitted from across the neighborhood.

2022 Holiday Lighting Awards

During the Christmas season Saint Louis Hills provides twinkling lights, festive characters, cheerful tunes and some of the merriest lighting displays in all of Saint Louis.  Navigating from one magnificent block to the next is like traveling through a winter wonderland.  Our neighborhood is a truly special place enjoyed by our neighbors as well as guests traveling from miles around to see the amazing lights and festivities.  The SLHNA had the help of several members who volunteered to judge for the best of the best displays.  A special thanks to all of our volunteers who had the hard job of determining which homes and blocks were the winners of the Holiday Lighting Awards for 2022.  Congratulations to all of our winners!
