Early Tuesday, Nov 29th, the security officer on duty for our neighborhood, reviewed AwareNet alerts that showed a person going block-to-block south of Francis Park, checking for unlocked vehicles. The officer located the suspect and made an arrest. Regular duty District 2 patrol officers, who responded to assist, transported the suspect to the police station for booking.
We’ve just started the third week of the four week test with a security officer. There were no criminal incidents identified during the first two weeks while officers have been reviewing alerts and patrolling the neighborhood.
