Gateway Cup – Tour De Francis Park – September 2nd

This historic neighborhood is host to the second leg of the Gateway Cup — Tour de Francis Park! Francis Park, named after David Rowland Francis — President of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in 1889, is known for its wide, tree lined streets and for having beautiful churches on every corner.  Today the St. Louis Hills neighborhood showcases gingerbread bungalows, stately homes and some of the tidiest landscaping in St. Louis. Home to St. Louis cultural and iconic Ted Drewes—our homegrown ice cream oasis. We hope you enjoy the second stop on this Gateway Cup weekend!  St. Louis Hills will be serving up delicious food and cold beverages until 6:00 p.m. Dig in!

Racer parking will be at Bishop DuBourg High school, 5850 Eichelberger St.

NOM Court Advocacy Training – June 15th

This message is from Officer Stehlin about the next NOM Court Advocacy Training. If you’re interested please e-mail Vince and the Circuit Attorney’s Office using the e-mail addresses below.

All,
The Court Advocacy Training mentioned at the last general membership meeting will be held on Thursday, June 15th at 6:30 p.m. at Buder Library (4401 Hampton). This is right in our own back yard so if you were unable to make a previous training date, now is your chance!

This is very important…please email the Circuit Attorney’s Office at caocommunications@stlouiscao.org to register so a seat can be saved for you.

One last thing, please email me back once you have registered so I can keep track of who will be attending.

Thank you,
P.O. Vince Stehlin

2017 Lawn & Garden Award Update

Greetings Neighbors in the Hills!

I am Terry C. North, President of the SLHNA Lawn and Garden Committee. This weekend was a perfect weekend to get in the yard, hope you were able to do so, frankly I’m whipped!

Judging has begun for the esteemed Best Lawns and Gardens in St.Louis Hills, judging will run through June 25th. Back this year by popular demand is a Best Back Yard Award. This award, of which there will be 3 awarded, is self-nominated. If you would like to be considered for this award contact me and I will have the judges come by and take a look at your prized backyard.

Along with the 3 Best Back Yard Awards, there will be 12 Best Lawn & Garden Awards given, 2 Best Multi-Family Awards given and 1 Best Church Award for best landscape.

Any questions or referrals you have please send them my way via the contact information below.

Good luck if you have an interest in participating! Beautiful lawns help to keep our property values up… Oh yeah, and the property taxes on the rise.

My best,

TC North
